Establish and support the operation of the Project Management Office (PMO)
This service aims to provide the organization’s leadership with a comprehensive view of the status and progress of programs and projects stemming from strategic plans, allowing for real-time performance monitoring and enabling timely decision-making. This is achieved by establishing an office within the organizational structure and supporting its operation for a specified period until reaching a level of maturity in project management practices that meets the business needs. Subsequently, the tasks are transferred during the transition phase to the organization’s personnel, ensuring they are fully equipped to perform their assigned roles effectively.
Key Activities:
1. Reviewing and evaluating the current state and maturity level of the organization’s project management practices using an assessment methodology based on global and regional best practices (P3M3).
2. Developing recommendations for the future vision to address gaps between the current and future states.
3. Developing the organizational structure and operating model for the office, including governance of its activities.
4. Standardizing procedures for program and project management, along with the templates and models used.
5. Designing a clear escalation mechanism to ensure challenges are addressed within a specified timeframe and documented accordingly.
6. Deploying a team of qualified personnel to assist the organization in operating the office and defining roles.
7. Providing on-the-job training and knowledge transfer to the organization’s staff involved in project management.
8. Implementing a specialized technical system for project monitoring within the organization and deploying dashboards and performance metrics to enable leadership to make timely decisions.
Expected Outcomes:
1. Enhanced decision-making capabilities through improved access to information.
2. Ensuring that plans remain on track to achieve the desired objectives.
3. Reducing costs associated with not addressing key issues and effectively increasing benefits.
4. Implementing unified program and project management practices according to internationally recognized standards to ensure the successful execution of programs and projects.
5. Contributing to the achievement of desired objectives for programs and projects by applying project performance monitoring measures, allowing executive management to regularly review progress toward achieving the intended goals.
